How long is the trail? We have a 4 yr old (not too adventurous) and a 7 yr old. Could carry the 1yr old or leave him in town with Mom.

About a mile each way, so two miles round trip. Assuming you have a backpack for carrying the one year old, seems he should come along, too - and mom! That said - even though the trail is short, it is a climb - so only if you are used to carrying the 1 year old up hill. The 7year old should be fine - and the 4 year old a tough call. We would prod our son when that age with m&m’s - can be a long process but worth it for the picnic on top (gotta bring a picnic) and if blueberry season, a container.
