Bellegarde-sur-Valserine is a former commune in the Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Eastern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune of Valserhône. Bellegarde is located at the confluence of the Valserine and the Rhône.
