Nice walk to the Mauro and church. The Mauro has 6 levels, so there is a lot of walking. Beautiful views. Safe area. Lots to do. Full review by Carmen H

Do I have to purchase tickets for these sites? If so would you recommend a tour or just buy the tickets and stroll around myself? Also are the beaches open 24/7. Might be a dumb question but I never got to see the beach at night in New York.

Hi Jason, many outdoor sites are free, while the indoor sites will require a fee. Although the beaches are open, there are curfews on many of them limiting access no later than 6pm. But …

Hi Jason, many outdoor sites are free, while the indoor sites will require a fee. Although the beaches are open, there are curfews on many of them limiting access no later than 6pm. But open beaches are not in Old San Juan, but other far out places like Rincon or Fajardo. For me it is best to travel on your own, you don't want to feel constricted by a tour operator.
