Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim refused to answer questions on Tuesday on the existence of a royal decree that would allegedly allow jailed former premier Najib Razak to serve his prison sentence at home.

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has refused to confirm or deny the existence of a highly controversial royal document that would purportedly allow former premier Najib Razak to serve his remaining prison sentence at home.

Sultan Ibrahim of Johor will make the decision on Najib Razak’s fate, Malaysia’s current prime minister told parliament.

The prime minister says he previously suggested that the king review the matter since the issue continues to be raised in the public sphere.
