A California infant has died from listeria amid an outbreak linked to certain ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that have been recalled.

Laboratory findings show that Yu-Shang Food ready-to-eat meat and poultry products were making people sick, the CDC said.

On Friday, the CDC said that 11 people have been infected with listeria across four states. Out of the cases, nine have been hospitalized and one has died.

The backer of California's recently defeated minimum wage measure said he was "disappointed" but vowed to keep advocating for higher wages.
