A t least four people were killed and 37 others were wounded in shootings across Chicago during the Fourth of July weekend, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 16 to 52.

At least 11 people were wounded in separate shootings during the July 4th weekend in Chicago, police said. The first incident was reported at approximately 11:11 p.m. Friday in the 4800 block of South Justine in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. In that shooting, two suspects approached a crowd of people and opened fire, police said.

At least 44 people have been shot, six fatally, in gun violence across the city so far this Fourth of July weekend, Chicago police said.

A Chicago woman is now facing charges after her 4-year-old son was killed and two other children were injured in a stabbing and arson fire on the Northwest Side, police said.

A woman was charged with stabbing three children, killing a 4-year-old boy, and setting a home on fire in Logan Square last week.

Wendy Tolbert, 45, was arrested moments after Chicago police said she had fatally stabbed her youngest son with a knife.
