Chris Stapleton forgot to thank his wife and collaborator Morgane for the first award he won at the 2024 CMA Awards but quickly made up for it while accepting his second win of the night.

Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton were crowned the CMA Awards' vocalists of the year while George Strait took home the lifetime achievement award.

Chris Stapleton took home four Country Music Association Awards and hardly left the stage on Wednesday night, while an absent Morgan Wallen won the night's biggest prize, entertainer of the year.
