DALLAS – Texas grocery giant H-E-B announced plans to bring its flagship store to the city of Dallas for the first time. In a news release Thursday morning, the San Antonio-based company said it purchased nearly 10 acres of land at the southeast corner of LBJ Freeway and Hillcrest Road in North Dallas.

Multiple people were hospitalized Thursday after Dallas police were involved in a shooting following a chase and two-vehicle crash on I-35E in Ellis County, authorities said. It happened Thursday morning on I-35E southbound at Red Oak Road,

Dallas police said they were “aware” of a shooting involving an officer near I-35 in the Red Oak area in Ellis County.

Ellis County Sheriff, Red Oak police, Dallas police and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene on Thursday.
