New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was disappointed by the firing of his college head coach, former North Carolina coach Mack Brown.

Maye is tied for sixth in the NFL with 11 turnovers. He’s lost four fumbles and had thrown 11 interceptions. He ranks third among qualified quarterbacks with a 4.6% turnover-worthy play rate, which is a PFF metric. Since taking over the starting role in Week 6, he leads quarterbacks with 14 turnover-worthy plays.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — It’s easy to look at the final score and rip the Patriots for a near total no-show in Miami Sunday, and no doubt, they deserve to be ripped. Penalties, turnovers and defensive ineptitude damned them in every aspect of a 34-15 loss that wasn’t nearly as close as the score indicated.
