Formula One has no plans to add a sprint race to the Las Vegas Grand Prix schedule in the near future as officials remain “quite comfortable” keeping the format at other events.

HENDERSON, Nev. (FOX5) - The City of Henderson plans to host a free Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Watch Party. It’s scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. The race will start around 10 p.m. Water Street Plaza will have a 42-foot jumbotron with a DJ, giveaways and limited amount of free food.

Las Vegas Grand Prix organisers have quashed the prospect of adding a sprint race to the city’s high-stakes Formula 1 event anytime soon, asserting that the unique demands of the Las Vegas circuit make the format impractical.
