A flash food warning has been issued for areas of Middlesex and Somerset counties in New Jersey on Wednesday as strong storms lash the state. The warning is in effect from 6:45 p.m. until 10:45 p.m. for the following counties: Middlesex and Somerset.

EDT the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning in effect until 9:15 p.m. EDT for Alpena County.

A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 7:38 p.m. in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Bucks County.

The National Weather Service has issued more than 3,000 flash flood warnings nationwide so far in 2025, marking the highest number on record for this time of year since tracking began in 1986. And the DMV region is far from exempt.

The National Weather Service (NWS) extended a July 15 Flash Flood Warning until 11 a.m. for Colonial Heights and Petersburg. At 1:45 p.m., they announced the Flash Flood Warning was extended to 8 p.m.
