NBA free agency is underway, and after a week, some notable names remain unsigned. That includes Jonathan Kuminga and Josh Giddey, who are both restricted free agents this summer.

They filled a need for perimeter defense and athleticism by adding Adou Thiero at the draft. They attacked their shooting shortage by signing Jake LaRavia. They addressed their interior void by adding former top pick Deandre Ayton, then brought back Jaxson Hayes to give them some depth at the 5.

On Monday, the NBA announced that the salary cap has been set at $154.647 million for the 2025-26 season, while the tax level is $187.895 million. The first apron level is set at $195.945 million, and the second apron level is $207.824 million. The salary cap and tax level went into effect at 12:01 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
