Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiří Procházka hasn't forgotten some past remarks from upcoming opponent Jamahal Hill.

Jiri Prochazka has some brief, yet fiery words for Jamahal Hill and Magomed Ankalaev ahead of UFC 311 in Inglewood, California.

Jiri Prochazka is set for his first fight of 2025, and he’s making it clear he sees himself as the contender to beat at light heavyweight. A former titleholder, Prochazka dropped the belt to Alex Pereira at UFC 295 and then later lost a rematch to Pereira at UFC 303.

Former champions Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka will square off at UFC 311, which takes place Jan. 18 at Inuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. The matchup was announced during the UFC Fight Night 248 post-fight show Saturday, and by Prochazka (30-5-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC).

Jamahal Hill and Jiří Procházka were supposed to fight for the UFC light heavyweight championship back in 2023. But life intervened. Procházka suffered an injury during training and had to vacate the belt.

Jamahal Hill did not mince his words towards fellow 205-pound contender Magomed Ankalaev. Hill (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) hasn’t competed since getting knocked out by UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira at UFC 300 in April.
