A man accused of stabbing and killing an unidentified man in a fight attempted to choke a Las Vegas police officer weeks earlier, according to police documents.

Police have identified Marcos Gomez, 33, as the officer involved in the Friday night shooting near the 1800 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, North.

A man who was fatally shot by a Las Vegas police officer this month had called 911 for help during a home invasion. A recording of the call was released this week.
