ATLANTA — Seattle’s Cal Raleigh won his first All-Star Home Run Derby after leading the big leagues in long balls going into the break, defeating Tampa Bay’s Junior Caminero, 18-15, in the final round Monday night.
Cal Raleigh, the league's home-run leader heading into the All-Star break, headlines the list of competitors in the 2025 Home Run Derby.
But Raleigh's historic win was almost cut short in the first round when he hit 17 home runs, tying Brent Rooker for the final berth in the semifinals. By the slimmest margins, Raleigh moved on because his longest home run was 470.62 feet compared to Rooker's 470.54 feet, according to MLB.
