The adoptive parents of a 10-year-old Moreno Valley boy were arrested after he was transported to a hospital and later died.

A Moreno Valley man and woman were arrested on suspicion of murder, torture and child abuse in the death of their 10-year-old adopted son.

An initial investigation found possible signs of abuse and neglect of a 10 year-old-boy who later died at a hospital. His adopted parents were arrested.

Several hours later, the juvenile’s health declined, and he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Based on the circumstances, the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit was requested to respond and assumed the investigation. The juvenile’s identity will not be disclosed.
