Mercedes announced plans to launch Mythos, its latest sub-brand, earlier this year. The new line will sit atop of the automaker’s portfolio and will produce ultra-exclusive vehicles that combine the best aspects of its powerful AMG and opulent Maybach models. And, based on the first look at the finished AMG PureSpeed, it will do just that.

Mercedes-Benz has formally introduced its Mythos series, a new line of limited-edition vehicles, debuting with a stunning speedster inspired by the AMG SL. The car, capped at 250 units globally, was first previewed in May with the PureSpeed concept. Both the concept's name and its striking design have been carried through to production.
