As a massive wildfire continues to burn in Ocean County, New Jersey, intense heat and ticked smoke from the flames were picked up on radar imagery Wednesday morning.Conditions for the firefight are shaping up to be a bit better Wednesday as an easterly wind coming from the Atlantic Ocean will bring more moisture-rich air into the region,

The Jones Road Wildfire in Ocean County, New Jersey, is approximately 50% contained after burning through 13,250 acres. Evacuations were lifted for some 5,000 residents in Ocean and Lacey Townships on Wednesday.

An uncontained wildfire has spread more than 8,500 acres in New Jersey, prompting evacuations in Ocean County areas, including Waretown and Barnegat.
