Oshkosh residents share their thoughts after police shot and killed an armed man after a stabbing on their street.

A person was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Oshkosh late Tuesday night. The deceased is suspected of stabbing two victims and failing to comply with orders from officers to drop their weapon.

“I went to close my blinds on the side of the house and I saw police lights. I was like, ‘Oh, something is going on down the street,’” recalls neighbor Denise Timm, who has lived in her home near the scene for about three years after moving to Oshkosh from the Milwaukee area. The neighborhood was interrupted by the late-night disturbance.

It all started around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday when officers responded to a home in the area of the 400 block of W. 10th Ave. for a report of a stabbing.
