President Biden announced the largest single-day act of clemency in "modern history." Among those pardoned was one McCracken County man.

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A western Kentucky man is one of more than 1,500 people granted clemency by President Joe Biden. According to the White House, 60-year-old Edwin Allen Jones was one of 39 people pardoned on Thursday, December 12. The president also commuted the sentences of 1,499 people.

Jones, who previously served in the Army and was honorably discharged after achieving the rank of Captain, returned to Paducah as a law clerk in 2004. The next year he applied for his license to be reinstated and was eventually granted it by the Kentucky Bar Association in 2006.
