After captain Hilary Knight scored just three minutes into their season opener against the Toronto Sceptres, the Fleet struggled to get shots on net for the final 57 minutes.

The Fleet jumped out to an early lead, when three minutes in, captain Hilary Knight scored on the power play. Knight received the puck from defender Megan Keller and scored her first PWHL power play goal on the tripping penalty to Toronto’s Maggie Conner.

Donning their new blue and gold jerseys, the Sceptres toppled last year’s Walter Cup finalists, with goals from Sarah Nurse, Hannah Miller and Emma Maltais
