Creature Commandos' star Frank Grillo confirms to Inverse that you'll see plenty more of his character Rick Flag Sr., and that he may have an even more important role in the DCU.

Superman director James Gunn has addressed some of the confusion surrounding the DCU timeline, specifically regarding the fact Rick Flag Sr.'s beard colour has changed between animation and live-action.

He confirmed in July that Creature Commandos and Superman are two of the projects in production, alongside the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow film and two shows: Peacemaker Season 2 and Lanterns, which recently saw its two leads cast in Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler.
