The seventh installment of the horror franchise, being made by Spyglass Entertainment, is in rebuilding mode after losing its young stars Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera. Campbell, who sat out the previous installment due to a salary dispute, is back for the new feature that will focus on her character, Sidney Prescott, and her daughter.

Scream just got a killer new addition.PEOPLE can confirm that Isabel May, who previously starred in Netflix's Alexa & Katie and the Yellowstone prequel series 1883 and 1923, has been cast in the upcoming Scream 7.

As per PEOPLE, May – who played Elsa Dutton in Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923 – will reportedly star as the daughter of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) in the seventh instalment in the franchise, which is scheduled to be released in 2026.

Facing the franchise falling apart, Spyglass Entertainment decided to get back to Scream basics by capitulating to Campbell’s salary requests and bringing in Kevin Williamson (who wrote the screenplays for the first and fourth Scream entries) to direct.

We have confirmed that 1883 actress Isabel May is definitely playing the daughter of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott in Spyglass Media Group’s upcoming Scream 7. The deal is locked, I’m told.
