BALTIMORE – Even after the Mets announced Tuesday that Starling Marte was headed to the injured list, the net sentiment was largely positive, particularly for a team that’s recently been beset by health concerns.

The New York Mets have placed Starling Marte on the 10-day injured list with a bruised right knee and activated Jesse Winkler, who missed two months with an oblique injury.

The Mets placed Starling Marte on the IL Tuesday with a bruise to his right knee, while outfielder Jesse Winker was activated from the 60-day IL.
