Airports have been disrupted by strong winds sweeping through the East of England as a result of Storm Éowyn. A yellow weather warning from the Met Office for wind speeds of up to 50mph (80km/h) was in place for between 05:00 and 15:00 GMT.

Wind speeds could exceed 50mph in London today (January 24) as Storm Éowyn batters the UK. The capital will avoid the brunt of the storm, which is severely impacting Northern Ireland and Scotland.
