Robert Eggers has closed his deal to write and direct a 'Labyrinth' sequel for TriStar and The Jim Henson Company, Deadline has learned.

"Nosferatu" director Robert Eggers is set to write and direct a sequel to the 1986 cult fantasy movie "Labyrinth" for TriStar Pictures.

There’s an old, stereotypical saying which opines that some things are sacred. Many would argue that one such “sacred” film is Labyrinth, the 1986 classic directed by Jim Henson and starring David Bowie.
