The Denver area and much of the state will face “critical fire weather conditions” Saturday, as dry, windy weather continues to fuel the risk of wildfires, according to the National Weather Service.

With the vernal equinox at 3:01 a.m. on March 20, Spring has officially sprung! As we enter the next season, the weather will be very seasonal. High temperatures for the Denver metro area will climb into the mid-50s Thursday afternoon under a partly cloudy sky.

The fire danger in Denver is high on Saturday with with windy and dry conditions expected across the metro and northeastern Colorado plains.
