The family of Anthony Egeonu, a security guard shot and killed while confronting shoplifters at a downtown Dallas CVS, is struggling with raw emotions and profound grief.

Dallas police are investigating a fatal shooting at a CVS location downtown on Friday evening, officials said. Police were called shortly after 11 p.m. to the 1400 block of Main Street, where officers found a person had been shot at the location, police say.
