The director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth expresses his desire for the remake trilogy to go multiplatform, and that he likes Xbox.

The director of the acclaimed RPG Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has some nice things to say about Xbox consoles, hinting that a port may be incoming.

Take Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, for example. This Game of the Year contender (which launched back in February) seemingly only had a three-month exclusivity window, meaning a potential Xbox release could be just around the corner. Who knows if that'll be the case, but the game's director clearly would like to bring it to another audience.

Talking to GamesRadar, Hamaguchi expressed the desire to bring the Final Fantasy Remake series to as many fans as possible as well as the change the industry needs to face by bringing games to a lot more platforms. As a self-described Xbox fan, Hamaguchi wants to see more of that.

That's according to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi, who told the Daily Star that whilst he's aware that the fan community would like an expansion like Episode Intermission, the team's focus is instead on Part 3 in order to get it out "as quickly as possible".
