Seuk Kim was flying three dogs from Maryland to Albany, New York, when the plane crashed in the snowy woods of the Catskill Mountains, officials said.

But Sunday’s flight to New York was his last. Kim’s 1986 Mooney M20J crashed in the snowy woods of the Catskill Mountains, killing the 49-year-old pilot and one of the dogs, authorities said. The other two pups survived and were recovering Tuesday.

A Virginian pilot volunteering for Pilots N Paws was flying a Mooney M20J when it crashed Sunday killing the pilot and one dog on impact while injuring the two remaining dogs.
