The Los Angeles Rams have elected not to put receiver Cooper Kupp on injured reserve with the hopes he could still recover from his ankle injury in a shorter time frame. The Rams put offensive lineman Jonah Jackson and safety John Johnson on injured reserve Wednesday after both were injured in Los Angeles' blowout loss at Arizona.

The Cardinals' Kyler Murray picked apart the Rams defense, and their offense — which lost Cooper Kupp to an ankle injury — was stagnant behind a weakened line.

The Los Angeles Rams are in the midst of an injury crisis two weeks into the 2024 regular season, but there is somewhat of a positive update regarding one of their star receivers. Initially, Rams head coach Sean McVay said Cooper Kupp was a candidate to end up on injured reserve with his high-ankle sprain.
