New York set to increase minimum wage; here’s how much more workers will earn
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Those earning minimum wage in New York state are set to receive a raise at the start of the new year. On Jan. 1, 2025, the minimum wage will increase to $16.50 an hour in New York City and Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties and to $15.50 an hour in all other parts of the state, according to the state Labor Department.
