MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - It's a wet start to the workweek with morning rain and a gloomy, cloudy afternoon on Monday. Rain showers will move through the Twin Cities metro on Monday morning, making for a wet commute. This rain will move to the northeast and taper off by the afternoon hours, with mostly dry conditions afterward.

CHICAGO - As rain moves in overnight, the Chicago area could experience thunderstorms alongside lows near 61°F. Looking ahead, expect showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday, with wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph.

Rain will move from west to east through the morning, with the showers exiting northern Minnesota by the early afternoon and giving way to cloudy skies for the rest of the day, with highs hovering around 50 degrees.
