The Hero World Challenge is enjoying a special year in 2024. Tiger Woods will be the tournament host for the 25th time this week, as his event heads to Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas for the annual season-silly kickoff. A field of 20 golfers will battle it out over 72 holes of stroke play to determine a winner.

The host won’t be playing but the field includes nine of the top 19 in the world including No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

NASSAU, The Bahamas—Tony Finau has pulled out of the Hero World Challenge. Finau was removed from Tiger Woods’ exhibition event in the Bahamas on Sunday night. As of Monday morning no reason was given from Finau or the PGA Tour for his withdrawal.

The Hero World Challenge, hosted by Tiger Woods, is a 20-man event at Albany with some pretty good silly season money on the line. The four-day, 72-hole, stroke-play tournament is contested at Albany Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas, Dec. 5-8. This will be the 10th year that Albany has hosted.

Tiger Woods will not play in the 2024 Hero World Challenge, the 15-time major winner announced Monday on social media. The tournament, hosted annually by Woods, takes place Dec 5-8 at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas.

Tiger Woods will enter Sunday at the Hero World Challenge at 1 under after a 1-under 71 in the third round at Albany.
