Family and friends of Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother gathered on Friday at a church where their bodies have been brought for a wake and funeral, after the Portuguese soccer players were killed in a car crash in Spain.

Footballers Diogo Jota and André Silva have been honoured by their family, friends and teammates at a joint funeral in Portugal. Jota, 28, was laid to rest alongside his brother, Silva, 25, after they died in a car crash on Thursday.

Players from Liverpool and Portugal’s national team joined family and friends for the funeral of their teammate Diogo Jota and his brother.
