The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol's CBP One app has shut down. Mexico launched an app of its own, called ConsulApp, to fill a resource void.

Several migrants said they had recently arrived in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico after weeks of travel, only to find their CBP One appointments were cancelled.

The U.S. military is preparing to send roughly 1,500 additional active-duty troops to the border with Mexico, U.S. officials said on Wednesday, just two days after President Donald Trump signed an executive order on immigration.

U.S. officials say the Pentagon will begin deploying as many as 1,500 active duty troops to help secure the southern border in the coming days
