Zeeshan Siddique lost the Bandra East seat to Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesai, who won with 57,708 votes.

Zeeshan Siddique, NCP candidate in Bandra East, is trailing behind Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesai. Siddique joined NCP recently, shortly after his father Baba Siddique's death.

Varun Sardesai, Uddhav Thackeray's nephew, secured a victory in the Bandra East election, defeating NCP's Zeeshan Siddique by over 11,000 votes. Sardesai, making his political debut, attributed his win to his commitment to accessibility and clean record.

The Bandra East assembly seat is set to witness the clash between NCP’s Zeeshan Siddique and Shiv Sena’s Varun Sardesai. Vote results counting will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 23.

While Zeeshan Siddique relied on his father’s legacy and a potential sympathy wave, Varun Sardesai looked to consolidate Shiv Sena (UBT) votes and tap into the Congress vote base from the MVA alliance. Trupti Sawant of the MNS may also influence the outcome by drawing Marathi votes.

The high-profile seat has become a battleground between Zeeshan Siddique of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Varun Sardesai of Shiv Sena (UBT), and Trupti Sawant of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
