Black Friday might officially be on November 29, but that didn't stop Aussie retailers from starting their sales early. So now that the big shopping weekend is actually here, Black Friday deals have already been coming in thick and fast.

Shopify collected data over the Black Friday-Cyber Monday (BFCM) weekend that details how Australia approached the multi-day, bargain-hunting extravaganza.According to the e-commerce platform, the number of Australians purchasing from Shopify merchants grew by 14% over the weekend compared to last year.

Black Friday is 100% in Australia, with most retailers in the country partaking in the sales. Traditionally a single day of sales, it has become the term used to describe most sales in late November.
