A tech company whose boss was filmed hugging a colleague at a Coldplay concert has said a purported statement from him expressing remorse is fake.

During the Coldplay show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Wednesday, the stadium's large video board appeared to show the two in an embrace. When they appeared shocked by being in the spotlight, ducking the camera, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin quipped, "...they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy."

In what should have been an evening of melody and celebration, a Coldplay concert became the backdrop for a corporate scandal that mixed alleged infidelity, executive misconduct, and deception.
