The Professional Cricketers Association are considering a legal challenge after the England & Wales Cricket Board banned players from appearing in the Pakistan Super League and other franchise leagues that clash with the domestic summer.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has banned its contracted players from appearing in Pakistan's T20 league, the Pakistan Super League along with other T20 leagues which are organised at the same time as England's domestic summer.

England have banned players from appearing in the Pakistan Super League and other franchise leagues that clash with the domestic summer, even while an exception continues to be made for the Indian Premier League.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a new policy, banning its players from featuring in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the domestic season. The rule also applies to the Lankan Premier League (LPL) and other international leagues which overlap with the English summer months.

ECB is confident that this decision will ultimately enhance the quality of domestic cricket.
