Veteran "The Simpsons" voice actor Pamela Hayden will bid farewell to Springfield's Milhouse, Jimbo Jones and all the other characters she helped bring to life for more than three decades. Fox announced Wednesday that Hayden will retire from the hit animated series after 35 years.

The Simpsons voice actress Pamela Hayden—who spoke for Milhouse, Jimbo Jones and Rod Flanders—has announced her retirement after 35 years on the series.

Ms. Hayden voiced many “Simpsons” characters since the show started in 1989. She’s most famously the voice of Bart’s awkward 10-year-old best friend.
