San Jancinto Elementary will close in July and the students will be going to Reagan Elementary

During a meeting on Jan. 21, the ISD School Board unanimously voted to expand enrollment boundaries at Reagan and close San Jacinto at the end of the spring semester.

The San Angelo ISD school board voted to close San Jacinto Elementary, effective July 1 , 2025. They said the building is "clearly at a critical point" and it's no longer able to house children. The school is more than 100-years-old and they don't feel it makes sense to repair the building.
