ATLANTA - Police say a fight in southwest Atlanta ended with one man shot to death on Sunday night. Officials with the Atlanta Police Department told FOX 5 the shooting happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. at a home on the 1700 block of Centra Villa Drive.

ATLANTA — A man was shot and killed Sunday night in Atlanta. At about 9:31 pm, officers responded to reports of a shooting at 1726 Centra Villa Drive SW. Officers found a 55-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A man was shot and killed in Atlanta’s Adams Park neighborhood Sunday night, according to Atlanta police. Police said officers responded to a home on Centra Villa Drive SW and found a man with a gunshot wound.

Police said the man resisted arrest and assaulted officers before he apparently armed himself with metal objects and advanced toward them, which is when he was shot.

A Westbrook man is dead after an officer-involved shooting early Saturday morning. At around 3:25 a.m., Westbrook Police say they responded to Arlington Avenue for reports of a domestic disturbance. A female caller reported that another female was in a residence reporting that her son was hurting them.
