The Toronto Blue Jays entered the All‑Star break riding solid momentum despite a narrow 6‑3 loss to the Athletics. Toronto has won seven of its last ten games and currently holds first place in the AL East with a 55‑41 record, sitting two games clear of the New York Yankees and three wins ahead of a surging Boston Red Sox.

In their final game before the all-star break, the Blue Jays will look to win the rubber match of a three-game series against the Athletics at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, Calif. Toronto has won five straight series, including its recent 10-game winning streak, to surge into the division lead with a 55-40 record.

Brent Rooker hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning and Mason Miller struck out Ernie Clement and George Springer looking with the tying run on second in the ninth inning as the Athletics beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3.
