Firstly, just last week, Android Authority reported that the Pixel Tablet 2 was in the works, boasting upgrades like a better camera, a more powerful processor, and compatibility with a keyboard cover — all significant changes over the original Pixel Tablet.

If this had arrived day and date with the original model, it would've been far easier to recommend the Pixel Tablet among its fellow mid-range tablets, like Samsung's $450 Galaxy Tab S9 FE from October of 2023, and, of course, the aforementioned iPad.

Recently, we reported that Google had canceled the Pixel Tablet 3, the presumed name of the company’s third-generation tablet. That had led us to believe that the Search Engine company is likely ready to give up its tablet ambition after the unreleased Pixel Tablet 2.
