HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans waived Diontae Johnson Tuesday after the beleaguered receiver — who was released by the Ravens earlier this season after refusing to enter a game — played just two games for them. Johnson had one reception for 12 yards in Houston’s wild-card playoff win over the Chargers on Saturday.

Diontae Johnson's trip around the NFL has made more headlines than his play this season. The Houston Texans waived the wide receiver on Tuesday less than a month after claiming him off of waivers per NFL insider Tom Pelissero. "The #Texans waived WR Diontae Johnson, who is now looking for his fifth team in a calendar year," Pelissero said on X.

Just two games played was all it took for the Texans to wave the white flag. Houston waived Diontae Johnson on Tuesday, marking the third team that has moved on from the troubled wide receiver this season.

After the Texans defeated the Chargers in the Wild Card game, they released recently acquired Diontae Johnson and added two more WRs.
