Celtics, Nuggets and Nikola Jokic
With roughly five weeks remaining in the 2024-25 NBA regular season, the race for MVP is still up in the air. Barring injury, it's a two-man race between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokić, but there are a lot of interesting debates to be hard for the positioning of players behind them.
Former Sixers guard Patrick Beverley hopped on his podcast "The Pat Bev Pod" and gave his top five centers in the league with Jokic ranking ahead of Embiid in his rankings. Beverley did stress the fact that it's only because Jokic has a championship on his resume that he's ahead of Embiid.
Philly's superstar center has been ruled medically unable to play and will focus on treatment and rehabilitation.
