In this capacity, Krishnan will work closely with Trump’s AI and crypto czar, David Sacks, and have a say in shaping the wider policy landscape around AI

US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Indian-American entrepreneur and venture capitalist Sriram Krishnan as the senior White House policy adviser on artificial intelligence (AI).

Sriram Krishnan, who has previously led product teams at Microsoft, Twitter, Yahoo!, Facebook and Snap, will work along with David O. Sacks who will be the White House AI and Crypto Czar.

Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu revealed he tried to recruit Sriram Krishnan in 2004 after being impressed by Krishnan's blog. Microsoft, however, had already hired him. Krishnan was recently appointed as a senior AI policy advisor to the White House by Donald Trump.
