Lions quarterbacks coach Mark Brunell is reportedly a prime candidate for offensive coordinator, provided he doesn’t secure the OC role in Detroit. Glenn is also eyeing a veteran defensive coordinator with head coaching experience and has former Jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff in mind for a key role, should Westhoff come out of retirement.

The Jets had their first round of second interviews regarding their vacant head coach and general manager positions. Those took place on Tuesday with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Washington Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark.
