Verity was published by Colleen Hoover, who also wrote It Ends With Us, in 2018 and in May earlier this year it was confirmed Amazon MGM Studios would be adapting the novel into a movie. This isn't Hoover's first novel to be made into a movie as earlier this year we saw the adaptation of It Ends With Us starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
